A paedophile who took secret recordings of people at Wycombe Leisure Centre for his own sexual use has been added to the sex offenders register.
Paul Smith, 48, of River Road, Taplow, took secret recordings inside the Handy Cross sports facility between November 26, 2021 and February 13, 2022.
He also attempted to watch others doing private acts inside the centre on February 1, 2022.
At a hearing at Wycombe Magistrates' Court on September 22, Smith was added to the sex offenders register for five years but did not receive any further punishment.
He admitted to charges of attempting to observe a person doing a private act and voyeurism.
Smith also pleaded guilty to making an indecent photograph of a child in Taplow between July 1, 2015 and March 14, 2022.
Rather than issue him with a fine or imprisonment, the magistrates gave Smith a three-year community order requiring him to undertake rehabilitation activity.
He was also ordered to pay £145 in costs.
