A seller from High Wycombe has listed a wristband from the Queen's lying in state on Ebay – for £500.

Many people across the country queued to see the Queen’s coffin in Westminister Hall from September 13 until September 19.

Some mourners waited for as long as 20 hours in the cold temperatures to pay their respects.

The wristbands, which are given out to mourners, are appearing on the online selling website, with prices reaching '£25,000' in some cases.

This particular wristband has been listed for £500 with the seller claiming it was used on September 17.  

We contacted the seller to ask why they're selling the wristband.

The seller told us: "The prices for them are all over the place at the moment. I was planning to keep it, but one the same colour as mine went for £25,000 so I decided to put it up and see what happens!"

The bands were issued out by the Department for Digital, Culture, Media, and Sport (DCMS) to help manage the queues.  The department made different coloured bands for each day people queued for.  

Another seller has listed a yellow wristband for sale with the current bid at £219.99.

The mayor of London's office said an estimated 80,000 people were in Hyde Park, 75,000 in ceremonial viewing areas, and 60,000 on South Carriage Drive. 

The viewership on TV also peaked at around 20 million people, according to Broadcasters Audience Research Board.
