Chesham United’s recent home league match against Merthyr Town was abandoned following a serious injury to one of their players.
Jake Peck, who was once on the books at Luton Town, injured his ankle in the Generals’ fixture against the Welsh side on September 24 at the Meadow.
With the score at 0-0, Peck and a Merthyr player went in for a challenge on 19 minutes and the former immediately called for help in the aftermath of the tackle.

A source close to the club told the Bucks Free Press that the injury was so ‘horrific’ and that Peck’s ankle was ‘facing the other way – a complete 180° turn.’
The source also revealed that both sets of physios were 'white as a ghost' after seeing the injury, and that the ex-Luton Town man had to wait THREE HOURS for an ambulance to arrive from when the initial incident took place.
Two ish hours on, player still out on the pitch waiting for an ambulance, what do you make of that @theresecoffey @DHSCgovuk?

This was due to a ‘serious road traffic collision’ along the A413 in Great Missenden where two motorcycles and a van were involved.

We are currently on the scene of a serious road traffic collision between two motorcycles and a Volkswagen van on the A413 at Great Missenden.
The A413 is closed in both directions between Link Road and Aylesbury Road, and will remain so for several hours. pic.twitter.com/LbhtH0HzVf
The closure, which was on Link Road, meant the emergency services were forced to take alternative routes to help the injured footballer.
Peck, who had dislocated and broken his ankle in the challenge, is expected to miss the entirety of the current season.
