ROADWORKS are set to close a village road for days.
Drivers in Chesham were warned about a road closure because of unplanned roadworks on Two Dells Lane in Ashley Green village after a burst water pipe.
Traffic delays were likely during the works, a traffic report warned.
The emergency road closure between Paddock Way and Ashley Green Memorial Hall started yesterday (September 22), and is set to last until Monday September 26.
A diversion will be in place as the water company Affinity Water repairs a water main.
Local people warned others to avoid the area by car and that the closure was caused by a burst pipe.
Affinity Water was contacted for a comment.
