Children wil be able to see their player’s score on an electronic scoreboard.
Steve Salwa, Everyone Active’s contract manager, said: “The soft play area will appeal to kids from a wide variety of backgrounds and will allow them to really enjoy exercise, while also meeting the highest safety standards.
“The soft play also welcomes the latest technology through Tag Play, part of our innovative offering at Chesham. The fun game brings together activity and technology, and we are confident it will help support children in the community to engage and learn through exercise.
“We’re excited to welcome the community down to the Open Day on 24 September, it’s a great chance for the whole community to come and see our facilities and try out our fantastic range of activities.”
All these facilities will be available to the public during an action-packed Open Day on Saturday, September 24 from 12pm until 3pm.
Everyone Active says the soft play centre is part of the wide-ranging facilities at Chesham, which sits alongside the two swimming pools, sports hall and innovative PRAMA and immersive cycling studio at the centre.
The soft play will also be utilised as a space for sensory activity and classes for children in the community.
Clive Harriss, Buckinghamshire Council’s Cabinet Member for Culture & Leisure, commented: “This new, interactive soft play area is sure to be a popular addition to the existing facilities at Chesham Leisure Centre.
“I’d encourage families with young children to come along to the Open Day on Saturday 24 September, to see and experience the new facilities for themselves – including the immersive, high-tech Tag Play game.”
There are distinct zones for juniors and toddlers, as well as a party area in the soft play area.
The junior area is built on different levels and includes tunnels, slides, as well as nets and ramps to navigate.
The toddler area is single level and contains lots of opportunities for play, allowing toddlers to feed their natural curiosity while also getting active.
Soft play sessions are bookable via the Everyone Active app and website.
