Buckinghamshire towns boast a fantastic range of Indian restaurants

Here are the Top 5 Indian restaurants rated on the online travel review platform Tripadvisor, used by millions of travellers to find best places to eat and drink.

1. Dipalee lounge, Buckingham
The high praises online by the visitors of the restaurant located on 18 Castle Street meant it was rewarded the special Tripadvisor ‘Travellers’ Choice’ badge.
Among its almost 1000 reviews, more than 900 were ‘excellent’, while only six had rated it ‘terrible’.
One reviewer said: “Great experience with friends, fast delivery and great service.”

2. Talk N Tikka, Milton Keynes
The Bletchley – based Asian restaurant at 164 Queensway is the fourth ranked restaurant in Milton Keynes, and the menu includes vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options.
Out of the 83 reviews on Tripadvisor, 78 were ‘excellent’, while there were no ‘terrible’ or ‘poor’ ratings.
One comment said: “Amazing authentic food! One of the best in MK! A must visit. Fresh juices, crispy Dosa and amazing tandoori dishes. If you like Indian food do try it.”

3. Bombay Palace, High Wycombe
Serving Indian, Asian, Balti and Bangladeshi food at 6 Crendon Road, Bombay Palace was also awarded the Travellers’ Choice badge in 2021.
It’s currently rated number one of 171 restaurants in Wycombe, and a whopping 927 of its 1087 reviews are ‘excellent’, 94 ‘good’, 25 ‘average’, 18 ‘poor’ and 18 ‘terrible’.
“Fantastic,” one happy customer said in August.
“I would eat again great staff great food and brilliant location. The food turned me into a super hero,” they quipped.
The menu is vegetarian, vegan and gluten free friendly.

4. Coco Tamarind, Askett, Princes Risborough
The restaurant serving Indian, Asian, Balti and Bangladeshi cuisine is located on Aylesbury Road, and it also bagged the coveted Travellers’ Choice badge in 2021.
Open every day until 11pm, hundreds of reviews commended its delicious food and quality of customer service.
Out of its 978 reviews, 824 were ‘excellent’, 94 ‘very good’, 17 ‘average’, 26 ‘poor’ and 17 ‘terrible’.
“Staff were really welcoming and helpful,” said a customer in July.
“The food was very tasty and portion sizes were more than enough. Would recommend coming here for dinner.”

5. Kappad South Indian Restaurant, High Wycombe
The centrally located restaurant at 21A High Street was rated number two out of 25 Wycombe Indian restaurants, and third best restaurant out of all 171 Wycombe restaurants listed on Tripadvisor.
It has also gained the Travellers’ Choice award.
Out of its 465 reviews, 411 are ‘excellent’, while 37 visits scored ‘very good’, seven as ‘average’, four as ‘poor’ and three as ‘terrible’.
A customer, who visited in June, said: “So pleased the hotel restaurant was closed and I had the opportunity to find this gem of sn Indian restaurant. Outstanding vegetarian options served in a pleasant setting by attentive but not intrusive waiters.”
