A man will attempt to row 1,000,000 metres in under a week to raise funds for Marlow RowAbility.
Graeme Gordon aims to complete the challenge in six days, 14 hours and 29 minutes to earn him the Concept2 ‘Individual Million Meters Record’.
If he completes it in this time he will achieve a world record in the 60-69 age category.
He will achieve the UK record if he does it in under eight days.
Graeme started on Sunday, September 11 at 9am and is due to finish sometime on Saturday, September 17.
The Marlow RowAbility project launched in 2019 and seeks to raise £200,000 to make the hard-standing and boat storage areas safe and accessible for members.
Graeme said: “I fully appreciate the positive impact of physical activity, no matter what your ability, personal goals or limitations.
"Helping Marlow RowAbility to achieve their £200k target is so important to me; it will allow many more people to enjoy equal opportunities to access the river safely.”
