Police are patrolling after a spate of overnight thefts from insecure motor vehicles.
Thames Valley Police (TVP) will take to streets are the reported thefts in Aylesbury.
A description of a lone male riding either a racing bike or mountain bike, trying car doors and windows has passed onto the police.
A TVP spokesperson said: "There has been a series of overnight thefts from insecure motor vehicles, along with pedal cycle thefts, in your area.
"Active patrols are being conducted to combat this.
"A description has been passed of a lone male riding either a racing bike or mountain bike, trying car doors and windows.
"If you witness a crime in progress please call 999, otherwise use 101 or Thames Valley Police online reporting to pass on any information.
"Alternatively you can call Crime stoppers anonymously on 0800555111."
