INVESTIGATIONS are being carried out at a leisure centre after members of the public reported 'severe breathing difficulties' after using the swimming pool.
In a statement online Amersham Swimming Club said all of their training sessions have been suspended at the Chilterns Lifestyle Centre until the 'air processing system can be repaired'.
It comes after swimming pool users have reportedly suffered with breathing difficulties and skin irritation during the summer holidays.
Everyone Active has reassured residents that daily checks and readings are being carried out in line with national guidelines.
The swimming pool also remains open as normal.
The sports and wellness centre in Amersham is managed by Everyone Active for Buckinghamshire Council, and includes a leisure centre, library, community centre, café, pre-school nursery and function rooms for hire.

The facility features an eight-lane 25-metre pool with viewing and a diving pool alongside a kids’ ‘splash pad area’.
A notice was issued on Friday, September 2, by Amersham Swimming Club warning residents about the health issues swimmers have experienced.
Peter Roycroft, Chairman of Amersham Swimming Club, said in a statement: "The number of swimmers who have been affected and have been displaying, in some cases, very severe breathing issues, caused by what is obviously a fault in the system, has reached a point that it would be negligent of the committee not to act.
"We are in urgent consultation with the Council and operator about this and we know that this will continue to be a top priority for the CLC management. If you or your swimmers have been experiencing anything of this nature, please let us know."
Everyone Active and Buckinghamshire Council are working together to investigate 'possible issues' raised from swimming pool users.
A joint statement said: "Our priority is to ensure the safety of customers in all our swimming pools and leisure facilities. To achieve this, we and our operators follow strict protocols.
"If an issue was flagged, we would act immediately to take appropriate actions to ensure the safety of customers and staff. We take all customer comments and enquiries very seriously, and we are investigating any other possible issues that may have contributed to the recent concerns raised with us.
"This is true of all our centres old or new as we want to ensure that we’re delivering the best customer experience for the local community and sports clubs, and as with all enquires, we will keep our customers updated in due course.”
