FLACKWELL Heath residents are fuming over five weeks of missed bin collections.
The rubbish is piling up for residents living in the Straight Bit block of flats as the bins have not been collected for several weeks, they claim.
Gordon Cooper, who lives at flat No.5, said he's written countless emails to Buckinghamshire Council but hasn't had a response to any complaints as of yet.
There are 15 flats in total with the rubbish piling up as the weeks go by.
Mr Cooper told the Bucks Free Press said: "It's terrible and the worst thing is the council have not responded once. Even the property mangemenet company said they have complained.
"This has been the case, ever since the changeover of contractors. Time and again the Council has advised us the jobs have been completed after following their avenues of missed collection reporting. Untrue, as the bins have not been emptied. With no explanation of why they haven't. Residents have raised another issue of it being a fire hazard too."
Gordon also questioned the council's most recent campaign on flytipping when there are bins not being collected in the borough.
"It is interesting, that one of the most affluent Councils in the country has now started a strong campaign to advise residents not to fly-tip and also, are now charging for collection of 'Green Bin' refuse. With of course, payment required for disposal of some items at Civil Amenity Sites", he said.
"Not only will these lack of collections over weeks actually encourage fly tipping, there is now a serious public health issue. Especially in the confined areas of flats. We pay Council Tax regularly but are not receiving the service of refuse collection, some of it pays for. Unless there is a clear explanation for this unhealthy problem, it seems Buckinghamshire Council are seriously failing their community."
Buckinghamshre Council said: "I would like to begin by apologising to residents in this location for the sub-optimal waste collection received. We have now arranged an urgent collection on Tuesday 6 September and our contractor will ensure a supervisor is present at the next scheduled collection on 13 September.
“We have had some issues regarding collections in this area but we always investigate every report received. If following up a reported missed collection with us please let us know the reference number so we can ensure a quicker response.
"Missed collections should be reported to https://www.buckinghamshire.gov.uk/waste-and-recycling/report-a-missed-bin-collection/ to ensure prompt resolution.”
