A popular bakery has commented on their plans to open in Marlow at a former bank.
All-day Danish bakery Ole & Steen is set to take over the old Barclays bank at 10 High Street and have said they hope to have more news in the new year.
The store has 21 stores across the UK with only two outside London.
An Ole & Steen spokesperson said: "We believe Marlow would be an excellent addition to the Ole & Steen family and we hope to have more news on this and the potential job opportunities it will create for the local community as we head into the new year."
"At Ole & Steen, we are passionate about making everyday moments extraordinary. We hope that our range of freshly baked breads, created with authentic Danish craftsmanship, delicious seasonal menus, and delectable pastries (including our famed cinnamon social), will bring a taste of hygge happiness into the heart of the Marlow neighbourhood in the future."
The site is located on the right-hand side if you look towards Marlow Bridge and is situated next to Superdrug and the Repertoire store.
Planning documents read: “Ole & Steen are looking at acquiring the lease of the unit and as part of their proposals would be looking to strip back the alterations to the shopfront carried out by Barclays and return to a traditional wooden shopfront.”
The store’s online menu features prosciutto, artichoke and truffle toasties, and Teriyaki salmon salad as well as pastries and breads.
The drinks menu offers a range of cold-pressed juices including antioxidant-packed carrot, orange and turmeric juice, and an extensive coffee choice.
Although the opening times of the new store are yet to be published, some of Ole and Steen's other stores open as early as 7.30am and remain open as late as 8pm.
