BEACONSFIELD mayor and part-time school crossing patroller Jaquetta Lowen-Cooper was nearly run over on the job.
A small pink car failed to stop when councillor Lowen-Cooper helped a mother and child across Ledborough Lane outside High Marsh School.
The car, being driven by a white woman, approached from the A355 towards Beaconsfield.
Police are now looking for the driver following the near-miss on Monday at 3.30pm.
PC Ian Leyland, who is investigating the incident, said: "I am appealing for the driver to come forward and do the honest thing as we have a partial registration number for the car."
Anyone with information should contact PC Ian Leyland on 08458 505 505 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
