SOUTH Bucks residents affected by Heathrow airport expansion plans today have a last chance to give their views.
The consultation on proposals for a third runway and a sixth terminal closes at the end of the day after 14 weeks.
The plans will see more planes flying over south Bucks when taking off westbound.
Chiltern District Council today was the latest local authority to voice its objections to the Department of Transport.
In its official response Councillor Graham Sussum, cabinet member for environmental management, said the council had "serious concerns" about the impact on the community and environment.
He said: "We are concerned with the effects of increased surface transport, both road and rail, and flights over the area."
South Bucks District Council has already objected to the plan with concerns over noise and air.
More housing and public transport would be needed if the plan goes ahead, members warned.
Last week Gerrards Cross Parish Council hit out at the plans saying they "strongly disagree" on grounds of air quality, noise and congestion.
Earlier this morning protesters made it on to the roof of the Houses of Parliament for three hours.
The move was condemned by Gordon Brown who said the decisions should be made "in the chamber of this House and not on the roof of this House".
