SOUTH Bucks residents have spoken of the moment their homes shook during last night's earthquake.
The 1am quake measured 5.3 on the richter scale. Its epicentre was in Market Rasen, Lincolnshire.
Lorna Cassidy, a grandmother-of-three from Hampden Road, High Wycombe, said she was woken by the quake at around 1am.
The 73-year-old artist said: "I was woken up in the middle of the night by my bed being almost shaken.
"I was quite frightened."
Jo Bowden, 70, of Wooburn Manor Park, Wooburn Green, also called to talk about her experience.
She said: "I was woken up - I thought there was somebody in the bed room in the wardrobe as that had started to rattle. I shouted to my husband who was in another room because he had a bad cold. I said "there's somebody in the wardrobe."
"I gingerly went up to it and opened it but there was nobody in there. My husband said I was dreaming but I knew I wasn't.
"Only when I saw the news this morning did I realise it had been an earthquake."
