Drivers are suffering major delays on a main road travelling in and out of High Wycombe due to roadworks.
A set of three-way traffic lights have been set up on the A40 London Road near Lidl while work is carried out in the road.
The lights have resulted in large tailbacks going towards and away from the town centre, with drivers forced to sit and wait in traffic on the major road.
Drivers travelling away from the town are queuing from as far away as the Rye as traffic moves at a slow pace.
According to one.network, works are being carried out on the road between 10am and 5pm every day until Friday 2 September.
The works, which are being carried out by SSE, involve replacing overhead lines with underground cable to improve supply reliability.
