A WORKSHOP about the dangers of starting deliberate fires is due to take place at a Cressex school just days after it was attacked by arsonists.
Cressex Community School will be visited by a theatre company next Thursday which will perform a play to highlight the dangers of playing with fire.
An arson attack destroyed an English block at the school in Holmers Lane in the early hours of Sunday Morning.
A seperate fire also damaged a classroom in the Modern Langauges department.
The play Arson About is aimed at year eight pupils and illustrates how playing with fire can lead to tragedy.
Angie Daly, Buckinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service's safety education manager, said: "The workshop then develops the audience's understanding of the crime of arson and why it is such a problem, and looks at the consequences on victims, perpetrators and the community at large."
The performances are funded by Buckinghamshire Community Safety Partnership and were arranged several months ago.
The workshop willl also be held at five other south Bucks school next week.
The group will visit Chesham Park Community College in Chartridge Lane, Chesham next Tuesday before going to Sir William Ramsay School in Rose Avenue, Hazlemere and The Amersham School in Stanley Hill, Amersham on Wednesday.
