POLICE today released dramatic CCTV images of an armed robbery on Widmer End Supermarket.
Two white men, with covered faces, stole cash from the tills of the shop in Windmill Parade, Georges Hill, at around 7.30pm on Sunday.
They threatened the shopkeeper with weapons before making off with cash from the till.
The store manager, who asked not to be named, said the robbers stole £100 in coins and £25 worth of banknotes.
He added the two robbers were both armed, one with a knife and the other with a "pointed object".
The manager said the man with the knife threatened to stab the shop worker handling the cash at the time, but there were no injuries caused.
He added: "He managed to move away from the situation after the guy tried to stab him."
Nothing else was taken during the robbery.
