A MARLOW Asian restuarant has received a new food hygiene rating.

A Suum Vietnamese Kitchen has been told it needs to make major improvements by food hygiene inspectors - again.

The restuarant in Spittal Street, Marlow has been rated as a one, meaning "major improvement necessary".

Food safety and hygiene officers visited the takeaway for their most recent inspection on July 15 this year.

They were told improvement was "necessary" in the areas of hygienic food handling (including preparation, cooking, reheating, cooling and storage).

The cleanliness and condition of the facilities and the building were generally satisfactory.

Their management of food safety - the checks in place to ensure the food they are serving is safe to eat and evidence that staff know about food safety - was rated as needing major improvement.

Overall, inspectors gave it a one rating out of five.

Marlow’s Suum Vietnamese Kitchen sells sizzling duck, noodles, passionfruit chicken and set menus for two people (£25.50). They include chilli squid, prawn summer rolls and a selection of shin of beef stew, stir fried chicken pho and more.

It has largely good reviews on Google, with an overall score of 4.6 out of five. One person, reviewing the food a week ago, said it was they were "very impressed" with the seabass.

"Portion sizes are big, PHO is a must have when you come here," according to the reviews.
