BUCKINGHAMSHIRE firefighters helped their Berkshire colleagues tackle a massive blaze at a Taplow paper depot today.
Beaconsfield firefighters were among eight crews from the two counties who worked to control the fire at Severnside paper recycling plant in Mill Lane, Taplow.
Five water jets were used to douse flames from hundreds of tonnes of burning paper and cardboard. Firefighters also used breathing apparatus.
An Incident Command Unit was set up to control the emergency operation.
The blaze began this afternoon. Relief crews will remain on site overnight to monitor the property.
Severnside is the recycling division of St Regis Paper, the largest paper making company in the UK.
