The West Wycombe Chamber Music Festival is back showcasing the most talented musicians at St Lawrence’s Church this autumn.
Now in its 11th year, the festival, created by the internationally acclaimed viola player Lawrence Power, has attracted some of the world’s finest musicians and this year, will feature five concerts and a masterclass.
The festival is taking place on Thursday, September 22 to Saturday 24.
Lawrence Power, festival founder and artistic director, said: "I’m thrilled to welcome you to the 2022 West Wycombe Chamber Music Festival. It’s always so special to spend time with such extraordinary artists each year and share their artistry with you.
"We will be welcoming back artists that are familiar to you all, Vilde Frang, Adrian Brendel, Simon Crawford-Phillips, the Collegium Orchestra as well as new musicians such as the wonderful British clarinettist Matthew Hunt and the exciting young Dutch violinist Charlotte Spruit.
"The final work of our 2022 festival will be the Shostakovich Chamber Symphony, an arrangement of his eighth String Quartet that he dedicated ‘To the victims of fascism and war’. I can’t think of a more fitting way to finish the festival this year as we all find ourselves deeply moved by world events more than ever."
