RE: LAST week's revelations in the Bucks Free Press that bus drivers were unable to see some waiting passengers in Hughenden after the county council turned off the street lights to save money and emissions. Reporter Tom Pochciol was pictured trying in vain to hail a bus in the dark.

I AM astonished to read that people are having difficulty with regard to stopping buses in the dark, after the Great Light Switch Off.

We have no street lights at all in Prestwood and never have and yet we manage to stop the bus.

Surely the drivers know where they are and when they are coming to a bus stop, so they can slow down and be prepared to stop if required.

What about all the other roads that are unlit and used by buses, not just the A4128 at Hughenden Road?

When the A4128 reaches Cryers Hill it is unlit all the way to Great Missenden?

We all have problems and we get over them in Prestwood.
