Construction work has started on a new Porsche and Bentley dealership at Handy Cross in High Wycombe.
Bucks Council permitted the application by Dealership Developments Ltd in May for both outlets at the site of the former leisure centre on Marlow Hill.
There will be a 3,935 sqm Porsche Centre, a 1,655 sqm Bentley dealership, and a 492 sqm car preparation workshop.
The council-owned site was previously used for temporary vehicle storage, and will also have “green living walls”, ten EV (electric vehicle) charge points, and roof-mounted solar panels
It is understood Dealership Developments has asked Biotecture, a company providing sustainable hydroponic living wall systems to consult on its “living walls” idea.
Images in a recent planning application show what it could look like, with examples of various facades covered in plants to ‘incorporate nature into the built environment’.
Access will be from the A404 via the existing road serving Waitrose, the leisure centre and the Park and Ride.
Showrooms, sales areas, MOT testing, offices, and around 200 parking spaces are also planned.
Nearly 90 jobs will be created.
The council confirmed “conditional disposal” for both outlets back in September 2021, dependent on planning permission.
