COUNCILLORS will set the new council tax bill for Wycombe in the next hour - and it looks like an average rise of £57.
The overall rise for a band D property will be 4.3 per cent on last year Wycombe District Council is expected to agree tonight.
This puts a band D property up from £1,320.06 to £1,377.10, an increase of £57.04.
Most of the final bill goes to Buckinghamshire County Council, which agreed today to a 4.5 per cent increase of its share.
This gives it a £1,018.91 share of the average band D bill.
The district council gets about 10 per cent of bill and will tonight be asked to approve a 3.2 per cent increase for its share.
Thames Valley Police and Buckinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service get the remainder of the cash.
Check back later tonight for a full report from the meeting, being held at the council offices in Queen Victoria Road, High Wycombe.
