AN 86-year-old dementia sufferer disappeared from her home in Marlow last night.
Mary Lewis went missing from Sir Aubrey Ward House in Prospect Road at around 11pm. Staff at the care home contacted the police who launched a search operation.
They are now appealing for help from the public to track her down.
Mary is white, 5ft 4ins tall with curly white hair and was wearing a cream jumper, blue jeans and black slippers when she went missing. She speaks with an Irish accent and other than the dementia, she is in good health.
She does not have any cash with her and does not own a mobile phone.
Immediate searches of the area and addresses in Burnham, where she used to live, and High Wycombe, where her son lives, have failed to locate her. Volunteers from the SEBEV Search and Rescue team joined in the search just before 5am.
Members of the public are now being urged to keep an eye out for her and call police immediately on 08458 505 505 quoting URN 1612 of February 20 or anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 if they see her.
