TWO men from London have been charged with fly-tipping offences after illegally dumping waste in south Buckinghamshire.
Kzysztof Grzegorz Bieniok, 34, from West Ealing was ordered to pay £815 in fines, prosecution costs and victim surcharge by Wycombe Magistrates on February 13 after a large quantity of decomposing household waste was found dumped illegally at Monkton Lane, High Wycombe in July last year.
On February 7, Scott David Fowler, 33, from Ealing was sentenced to 160 hours community service and ordered to pay £500 costs after pleading guilty to dumping a lorry load of used tyres in Hedgerley Lane, Gerrards Cross, also last July.
Both cases were prosecuted by Buckinghamshire County Council on behalf of the Waste Partnership for Buckinghamshire.
Councillor Martin Tett, chairman of the partnership, said: "This is a reminder for people thinking about dumping their waste in Buckinghamshire. No matter how quiet and remote the area may be, they will still get caught and convicted for the offence.
"Offenders can be fined up to a maximum of £50,000 and I urge magistrates to impose stronger penalties to deter people from fly-tipping in Buckinghamshire."
