A Chesham man who assaulted a police officer has been handed a suspended prison sentence.
Lewis Evans, 31, of Woodland View, was sentenced to eight weeks suspended for 18 months after he admitted to charges of assault and assaulting of an emergency worker.
At a hearing at Wycombe Magistrates' Court on July 21, the court heard how Evans assaulted a woman in Aylesbury on July 19.
The court also heard how he attacked a police officer on the same day.
After he pleaded guilty to the two offences, Evans was ordered to pay £200 compensation to the assault victim and £100 compensation to the police officer he attacked.
He was also ordered to pay £239 in costs and was given a restraining order against the female victim
