A woman caught speeding on a major A-road through High Wycombe has avoided a driving ban.
Rita De Lourdes Cedrola, 48, was caught going six miles over the maximum 30mph speed limit on the A40 London Road on November 10 last year.
In a court hearing at Wycombe Magistrates' on July 5, Mrs Cedrola, of Tithe Barn Drive in Maidenhead, was spared a 'totting up disqualification'.
This type of disqualification comes when 12 or more penalty points are received within a three-year period - and a ban must be imposed.
However, Mrs Cedrola said mitigating circumstances, including "exceptional hardship" on her and her family if she were to lose her licence and the possibility of her losing her job, should be taken into consideration.
Magistrates agreed, and instead gave her three points on her licence.
She was also ordered to pay a fine of £115, a surcharge to fund victim services of £34 and costs of £110 - a total of £259.
