Forensics were spotted outside a High Wycombe retirement complex after a man was found dead.
An eyewitness told the Bucks Free Press officers in white overalls were seen and a tent had been erected outside Hughenden Gardens Retirement Village in Hughenden Boulevard on Thursday morning.
Thames Valley Police confirmed that a man aged 56 had been found dead.
They were called to the scene by South Central Ambulance Service.
His death is not being treated as suspicious but is unexplained.
A spokesman said: "Thames Valley Police was called by South Central Ambulance Service at around 8.02am yesterday (July 28) after a man was found deceased at Hughenden Gardens Retirement Village in Hughenden Boulevard.
"Tragically, the man aged 56, passed away at the scene.
"The man’s next of kin are aware and are being supported by officers.
"His death is being treated as unexplained, but not suspicious, and a file is being prepared for the coroner."
