A High Wycombe man has been charged with fraud in connection with a fish and chip shop.
Jasvir Nizzar, 54, of The Spinney in High Wycombe, has been charged with a count of fraud by false representation.
At a hearing at Wycombe Magistrates' Court on July 6, Nizzar pleaded not guilty to the charge.
It is alleged that on April 28, 2020, the defendant fraudulently claimed to be in occupation of a fish and chip shop in a Covid-19 Business Grant form.
Nizzar denies that this is the case.
The defendant is set for a trial at Aylesbury Crown Court on August 8.
He has been granted unconditional bail until his next court hearing.
