A stolen Land Rover that was located near Wycombe helped police arrest a suspect wanted in connection with a serious crime in Northern Ireland.
Officers in the Chepping area were alerted to a suspicious abandoned vehicle blocking a service road on Friday.
Upon finding the black Land Rover, checks on the vehicle showed that it was reported stolen.
Further inquiries revealed that the car was possibly linked to a person who was wanted in Northern Ireland in connection with a serious assault.

A team of Wycombe-based officers located the suspect and caught them following a short chase on foot.
After officers caught up with the offender, the suspect was arrested on suspicion of stealing a motor vehicle.
The Police Service of Northern Ireland has since been informed of the arrest. According to Thames Valley Police, the suspect's extradition is pending.
