HIGH Wycombe's High Street is being cleared of cars to make way for a tug-of-war competition to mark the opening of Eden.
The competition has been organised by Wycombe District Council, which is hoping to get teams from Eden, the Bucks Free Press and members of the public to take part in the tug-of-war on Wednesday, April 9.
A road closure and temporary parking restriction will be put in place from Corporation Street to Crown Lane from 12 midday until 4pm to accommodate the competition.
The 675,000 square foot shopping centre, which is to become home to a new flagship House of Fraser Store, is due to open on March 13.
