HIGH Wycombe's very own Dusty Springfield is through to the final three contestants in the BBC's talent contest The One and Only.

Katy Setterfield, 37, from Geralds Road, Terriers, is still in with a chance of performing on a Las Vegas stage as her idol Dusty if she goes on to beat Frank Sinatra and Lionel Ritchie impersonators.

The Chalfont St Peter-born tribute act performed in the first part of the final of the tribute act show tonight.

Before she sang, she said: "It's my family that got me here. I don't know how the public are voting. Just that I am going to sing my little heart out and I hope that's enough."

She was cheered on by her family - among them her sister who had flown in from Australia especially for the final show.

Last out on stage, Katy followed performances by Lionel Ritchie, Cher, Frank Sinatra and Robbie Williams impersonators. She firstly sang her idol's hit "In the middle of nowhere".

Judge Carrie Grant said: "I think seriously you have a problem and the problem is this - that you make it look too easy. When you sit for 45 minutes in Vegas and watch a show you need to make it look easy."

David Grant, also on the panel, was equally complimentary. He said: "That was a quality performance and that was a real tribute to Dusty Springfield. You sounded like Dusty at that stage in her career."

Katy then went on to stun the audience by singing Dusty's "All I see is you".

David described it as "the biggest song emotionally". "You are crazy. That was the best vocal performance of the series," he added.

Voting for the top three artists - Frank Sinatra, Lionel Ritchie and Dusty - who gained the biggest share of the telephone votes at the end of the first show - will continue until the results are announced on BBC1 at 9.40pm.

The winner will receive a three month contract to perform in the showbiz capital of the world - Las Vegas.
