A MOBILE electronic studio which allows young people to record and mix their own music will be coming to Beaconsfield new week.
The i-Van, a self-contained mobile studio, will be making an appearance at the car park of the Beacon Centre in Holtspur Way, Holtspur on Monday from 2-8pm.
There will be informal workshops, where youngsters can learn how to make music, produce videos, take photographs and work computers.
Police community support officer Jessica Barker saw the van in action when it was previously on her patch in Farnham Common.
She said: "The kids that went all enjoyed it.
"It's the things that people enjoy today. They're not into playing table tennis in a youth club anymore.
"They can make their own CDs, so it's good that they can take something home at the end of the day."
Music workshops will include jam and recording sessions, mix down and mastering, MP3 mixing and a lyric workshop.
Those interested in video can learn about film, documentary and music video production and how to make animations.
There will also be computer classes teaching website or computer game authoring as well as desktop publishing and how to work microsoft office.
There will be eight workstations for people to use, and there is full wheelchair access.
