CANDIDATES for a Beaconsfield Town Council by-election have been announced.
Two conservatives, an independent and a member of a locally formed party will battle it out for two seats on March 6.
The election has been called after the death of Councillor Archie Legg and the resignation, for personal reasons, of Joanna Cocking.
The Conservative candidates are: Suber Akther of Wattleton Road and Ian Johnson of Forty Green Road.
They will run alongside independent candidate Matthew Denyer of Burkes Road and Joy Legg of Beaconsfield Independent Electors Association.
Also running will be independent candidate John D'arcy Meredith of Curzon Avenue.
Residents can cast their vote at Royal British Legion Hall, Candlemas Lane from 7am to 10pm.
Applications to vote by post or proxy must be received by February 20 and 27 respectively.
