An Amersham pub has welcomed its first customers to enjoy its new look after its extensive revamp.
Following an impressive £330k investment by independent pub operators Punch Pubs & Co, The Squirrel pub in Amersham has reopened its doors with management partner John Lee Perry taking the reins.
The Penn Street pub was carefully rejuvenated thanks to the complete internal and external renovation.
During its eight-week renovation, the Squirrel underwent works to maximise the trading potential of the bar and dining spaces by adding improved seating and secluded snug areas.
John Lee Perry, the management partner, is now keen to offer the community and guests a perfect pub experience in the refreshed surroundings.
He said: "This pub is a real village landmark, and I cannot wait for the local community to experience their new-look pub.
"The new menu is simply stunning, full of decadent new dishes and fantastic drinks. It's everything the community and guests have been waiting for.
"Aside from the great food and drinks, we're particularly proud of the garden – with the rest of the summer ahead, there is no better time to reopen!"
Inside, the pub was styled to enhance its natural charm and traditional features, while the luxury touches implemented by Punch Pubs on the outside can be seen when arriving at the Squirrel.

This includes adding modern outdoor seating at the front of the pub – giving guests enjoying their drinks a full view of the Chilterns surroundings.
At the back of the much-loved pub, the beer garden has been transformed to create an idyllic escape for guests to relax, take in the scenic countryside while tasting the pub’s new food and drink menu.
Punch senior operations manager Sarah Edmunds said: "We're really excited and proud to reopen the new-look Squirrel.
