A pair of thieves who stole a Maserati before getting caught driving it at over 100mph are set to be sentenced after admitting their guilt.
Andreas Narbutas, 34, of Vaughn Gardens in Ilford, and Arminas Gudas, 34, of no fixed address, stole the sports car from its owner in Freemans Close, Stoke Poges, on June 20.
Following the theft, the car was spotted on the M20 motorway in Kent. During a police chase, the car was driven at speeds above 100mph in rural areas.
At a hearing at Wycombe Magistrates' Court on June 22, Narbutas pleaded guilty to theft of a motor vehicle, going equipped for theft, dangerous driving, driving without insurance and two counts of committing an offence while serving a suspended sentence.
On the same day, Gudas pleaded guilty to theft of a motor vehicle and going equipped for theft.
After hearing the evidence against them, the magistrates adjourned the hearing so that the pair could both be sentenced at Aylesbury Crown Court.
The date for their sentencing is yet to be fixed
