Neighbours recalled hearing a large bang in the early hours of the morning as a car caught fire in a residential street.
The Seat was left burnt out and gutted in Jubilee Road in High Wycombe after the fire, which happened at around 1.30am.
A resident told the Bucks Free Press they were alerted to the fire in the early hours of the morning when they heard a bang and then saw an "orange glow".
They described the blaze as "fierce" and said neighbours set about trying to find the owner to alert them.
Fortunately, no one was hurt in the fire and the car has been left cordoned off in the road.
