A vehicle fire has shut part of the M40 this morning, with delays of an hour being reported.
The fire happened on the southbound carriageway of the busy motorway between junction 7 for Thame and junction 6 for Princes Risborough.
All traffic had to be stopped while emergency services put the blaze out.
National Highways warned that traffic on the southbound carriageway is being diverted off and back on at junction 6, with a delay of 60 minutes between 7 and 6.
They said: "Please plan ahead and consider alternate routes."
