A pensioner who stabbed a shopkeeper in the neck has launched a bid to reduce his prison sentence.
David Clarke, of no fixed abode, was locked up for many years at Reading Crown Court in September 2015.
This came after he stabbed a shopkeeper in the neck at Bab's Food and Wine Store on Buckingham Street, Aylesbury in September 2014, according to ITV.

The victim was paralysed down his left side following the incident.
A BBC report from 2015 indicated Clarke was about to be discharged as a patient from the Whiteleaf mental health centre in Aylesbury days before the attack.
After being acquitted of attempted murder, 71-year-old Clarke was convicted of wounding with intent following a trial at Reading Crown Court in May 2015.

He was sentenced to 15 years in prison with an extra five to be spent on licence in September 2015.
Now, Clarke is aiming to reduce his jail time after launching an appeal against his sentence.
He will appear at the Court of Appeal for a hearing on Wednesday, July 20.
