With summer now in full bloom, The Ivy Marlow Garden has launched a selection of new dishes on its menu.
The restaurant which serves breakfast, brunch, dinner and afternoon tea has also added some fresh cocktails to enjoy on hot days.
This included the 'Bloodflower Margarita' a twist on a classic margarita with Olmeca Altos Plata Tequila, St Germain elderflower liqueur, blood orange, lime and orange juice.
New starters include a 'Goat’s Cheese and Courgette Tart' with artichoke tapenade, mixed herbs, and truffle crème fraiche sauce to start.
This was a mouth-watering start to the evening demonstrating the vibrant flavour and colour on the summer-inspired menu.
The morish 'Truffle Aranacini' is also worth trying as well as the 'Salt and Pepper Squid' which came with wasabi and miso mayonnaise, Sriracha, coriander and lime.
Among the new main dishes is the 'Pan-Fried Salmon Fillet' which is served with asparagus spears, courgette ribbons, toasted pine nuts, and a chive velouté.
Other summer specials include the Chargrilled 'Halloumi' with spiced fregola, tomato and red pepper salsa, crispy onions, herb mayonnaise and coriander cress,
I went for the delicious 'Monkfish and Prawn Curry' served with a Malaysian curry sauce, choy sum, shaved coconut, chilli, sweet potato crisps and fluffy jasmine rice.
The monkfish and prawns were cooked to perfection in a curry packed full of flavour.
We also tried the 'Blackened Cod Fillet' which is baked in a banana leaf with a soy marinade, citrus-pickled fennel, grilled broccoli, chilli and yuzu mayonnaise.
The mayonnaise was a flavoursome addition to the cod which tasted as good as it looked.
Alongside these, we had the 'Zucchini Fritti', crispy courgette fries with a mint yoghurt, and these were an unexpected star of the show providing a lighter alternative to chips.
For dessert, there is an 'Almond and Blueberry Panna Cotta' featuring a limoncello sauce, almond tuile, and gold flakes as well as a 'Strawberry Eton Mess Sundae' meringue, Chantilly cream, and baby basil.
The light and creamy panna cotta had a really nice flavour alongside fresh blueberries and crunch from the almonds.
The summer menu is available at The Ivy Marlow Garden until Wednesday, August 31. To book a table, visit https://theivymarlowgarden.com/.
