An independent clothes shop opened its retail flagship store in Marlow this weekend.

Scamp & Dude brings its online empire to Marlow High Street with the opening of the its new store on Saturday (July 9). 

The shop promises to offer an "immersive" retail experience showcasing womenswear and children's clothing.

Founded by Cookham resident Jo Tutchener Sharp in 2016, Scamp & Dude was created after Jo was separated from her children during a lengthy stay in hospital undergoing life-saving brain surgery.

This made Jo feel determined to create a philanthropic business and a brand that helps children feel more secure when apart from their loved ones.

The store launched with childrenswear and charitable products led by the slogan "a Superhero has my back" to tell kids that someone is watching over them.

Since then The store has donated over 5,000 'Superhero Sleep Buddies' and 6,500 scarves to women with cancer and families of a child with cancer.

The first fifty shoppers on the opening day received a goody bag whilst those who visited the new store wearing their own Scamp & Dude outfits had the chance to win a complimentary gift. 

The local mayor Cllr Richard Scott also be made a visit to the store on its opening weekend. 

Following an intense growth period and a new focus on the womenswear division, which recently launched into Liberty London, womenswear now makes up over 90 per cent of all brand sales. 

Now into its 6th year and with womenswear and community at the forefront of the business, the shop opening will also reflect the brand’s recent refresh with a new logo and brand slogan "we’ve got your back".

Scamp & Dude womenswear can be found in Liberty, London and the kid's collection is stocked in Fenwick but the new Marlow store will be the only place in the UK where you can see the whole collection in its entirety.
