Drivers on M25 in Buckinghamshire were warned to expect severe delays after a crash involving several vehicles this morning.
Only two lanes out of four are open on the M25 in southbound direction after a crash between Junction 17 at Maple Cross and Junction 16 for M40.
The collision was first reported at 8.02am according to AA Traffic News.
Recovery of the vehicles involved has been arranged, National Highways said.
Drivers travelling anti-clockwise on M25 are warned to expect 20-minute delays as congestion stretches 4 miles.
Traffic appeared marked as 'slow' from Junction 18 to Junction 17 and past it until Mapple Cross on the southbound lane on AA Traffic News at 11am.
