Buckinghamshire Council has asked residents for patience ahead of roadworks in Amersham.
The planned resurfacing works on Burtons Lane will close the road between Little Chalfont, Amersham, and Chalfont St Giles for a week during daytime hours.
Burtons Lane will be closed for vehicles from Amersham Road junction to Roughwood Lane and Lodge Lane junction from Friday July 1 to Wednesday July 6.
To allow surface dressing patching works to be carried out, a road closure will be in operation Monday to Friday between 8am until 5pm.

Steve Broadbent, Buckinghamshire Council Cabinet Member for Transport, said: “We will always do our best to maintain access for residents, although it is important to note that the nature of resurfacing works means this might not be possible, when taking health and safety of the public and our workforce in consideration.
“Footways will stay open for all residents, and we have sent letters out to those impacted, to keep the public informed.
“As always, we would ask members of the public to be patient and treat our road workers with respect when they are carrying out such essential work.”
