A Marlow choir will travel to Arizona to perform in a 9/11 concert as well as opening a baseball game.
Next Stage Choir, one of the town's longest-standing community choirs, will make its way to the United States in September to perform in the benefit concert alongside Sounds of the South West Singers.
The choir will also play at a baseball game at Chase Field in Phoenix for the Arizona Diamondback whilst on the tour.
Musical director, Russell Scott said: “I am thrilled and excited to be taking Next Stage Choir to the US.
"It’s been a long-time coming and a huge amount of effort has gone into making this incredible opportunity a reality.
"After a long and difficult period, it’s wonderful to be getting back to normal and making amazing memories again.
"This is an incredible opportunity for the choir and I am proud to be leading them.”
The choir's most recent performance was at All Saints Church last Sunday (June 26) in a concert of music from Disney to Sondheim.
The choir has grown from humble beginnings in Marlow to other locations including St Albans and Aylesbury, and will soon expand further to Chorleywood.
In 2019, the choir played a sell-out concert at All Saints Church combining forces with Dachor Persenbeug of Austria.
The group has made three commercial recordings including a Christmas album and is set to record at Abbey Road Studios in the Spring.
