A Bucks dog charity has called for the support of fellow dog lovers to help fund the training of an assistance dog.
The UK charity Dogs for Good makes a life-changing difference to those living with a disability thanks to the power of their expertly trained dogs.
The charity's work relies entirely on donations from the public.
One of the charity’s puppy socialiser volunteers, Linda Grist from Milton Keynes and her husband John, have looked after Milton, a ten week-old black Labrador puppy, who will one day help someone as an assistance dog.
The “utterly adorable” Milton is the sixth puppy Linda has socialised
Now Milton needs a sponsor to pay for his training.
Lind said: “He might only be ten weeks old but is already keeping us on our toes! He’s got loads of personality and has us wrapped around every one of his paws.
“We’re also socialising a chocolate Labrador called Piper who is now a year old and he and Milton get on famously. Piper will soon be ready to leave us and start his formal assistance dog training and I couldn’t be prouder.
"It’s such a rewarding journey to be part of!
This week our latest litter of pups started the next stage of their lives as they joined their volunteer puppy socialisers. Well done to puppy mum Flo and her wonderful volunteer family who have had a busy few weeks and can now enjoy a well-earned rest. Good luck 'M litter'! 💚 pic.twitter.com/GtNY80IElc

“We’re hugely grateful already to Milton Keynes Amateur Operatic Society and also CCC Craftfairs who have already donated towards Milton’s training and it would be so wonderful if we could engage some other Milton Keynes businesses to join us all on Milton’s journey.”
