A thug who held a man at knifepoint in his own home in the middle of the night has been jailed for 12 years.
Carl Torano, 38, of Wahddon Way, Bletchley, pleaded guilty to one count of aggravated burglary at Aylesbury Crown Court on Friday, June 17.
This in relation to an incident that happened on Thursday, September 2, 2021, when Torano broke into a house in Shenley Brook End, Milton Keynes at around 2.50am.

He entered the property by smashing a panel through the front door, and threatened the man, a person in his 30s, with a flick knife.
A total of £200 cash was stolen.
Investigating officer, Detective Constable Lisa McKinley, based at Milton Keynes police station, said: “I would like to thank all those involved in the successful conviction of Torano for what was a terrifying ordeal for the victim.

“Burglary is an offence that greatly affects our community and can be extremely distressing for victims, I am pleased that Torano has successfully been brought to justice and the victim can now have closure.
“This conviction and sentence reflects the severity and seriousness with which these offences are taken, and is a warning that these type of offences will not be tolerated.”
This is not the 38-year-old's first prison sentence as he was jailed in June 2015 for conspiracy to burgle in Milton Keynes.
The three were charged with conspiracy to burgle a total of 22 properties in Milton Keynes between Thursday, October 4, 2012 and Thursday, February 13, 2013.
The total value of items stolen was in excess of £50,000, including damage made to properties when breaking in.
