More than a thousand Beaconsfield pupils held a picnic to celebrate the Queen's Jubilee.
On Wednesday June 15, 1300 children aged four to 18 from Beaconsfield High School and Butlers Court School came together to celebrate the Queen’s Jubilee with picnic on Beaconsfield High’s playing fields.
Upon arrival, every student was given a bag with a flag and stickers, and a Jubilee cupcake which they ate in mixed school groups. There was lots of laughter, conversation between the younger and older students and games led by the Year 12 Prefects.
Beaconsfield High’s Junior Choir led a rendition of the Platinum Jubilee Song which was followed by a performance of Sing by Beaconsfield High’s Chorale Choir and Year 5 Butlers Court students.
The event culminated with students creating a huge flag waving number 70 which was filmed from the air by drone, in what could have been the biggest Jubilee tea party in Bucks.
