FIREFIGHTERS were called to deal with a cooker fire that was caused by an excessive build-up of fat this evening.
A crew from High Wycombe Fire Station tackled the fire at a house in London Road this evening.
Nobody was hurt in the incident as the occupants quickly evacuated the property.
Crew Manager Paul Whigmore from High Wycombe Fire Station said: "It was due to poor housekeeping of the cooker itself. It had not been kept clean of fat.
"We gave advice to the people who lived there. Luckily they did the right thing of getting out, staying out and getting us out."
