A High Wycombe teenager has been banned from the road after he was caught driving without the right insurance - and for driving through a red light.
Muhammed Bukhari, 18, was handed a nine-month driving ban at Wycombe Magistrates' Court at the end of April for "repeat offending" after he was caught driving without third party insurance on the A355 in Beaconsfield.
The teenager, of Sharrow Vale, was also caught driving through a red light on the busy A-road on the same day, August 11 last year.
According to checks on the vehicle's registration plate, he was driving a Toyota Aygo at the time.
He was fined £440 for driving without third party insurance, ordered to pay costs of £90 and a victim services surcharge of £44.
He was also disqualified from driving for nine months due to "repeat offending".
For driving a vehicle otherwise than in accordance with a licence and failing to comply with a red light at a signal-controlled crossing, his driving licence was endorsed, but he received no separate penalty.
