For four days next month, millions of people across the country will celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
Between June 2 and June 5, all four corners of the UK will hold parties, shindigs and events to remember the occasion.
So here are just some of the activities that will take place over the four-day weekend.
Princes Risborough Beacon Lighting
The Princes Risborough Beacon Lighting Ceremony will take place on June 2 at Stratton Memorial Garden.
Spectators are encouraged to arrive for around 8.15pm, with the ceremony officially starting 45 minutes later.
The order of service will include a welcome by town’s mayor and chairman, Councillor Andy Ball, as well as an address by a pupil of Princes Risborough Secondary School and Rev. David Williams, Prayers, and reminiscences before the lighting of the beacon at 9.45pm.
There will no parking at the event, and those who want to attend are being advised to walk, or take a shuttle bus operating from the Mount Car Park and the Horns Lane Car Park at frequent intervals from 20:00(BST).
Princes Risborough Big Jubilee Lunch
A free event on June 5, people are being encouraged to pack a picnic with several of the retailers being open on the day serving food.
Tables and chairs will be set up along the High Street, and the availability of these will be done via a first-come first-serve basis.
Please note, a road closure will be in place from 11:00 starting from near the former Barclays Bank to Crumbs Too.
The road will not reopen until the event organiser deems it safe to at the end of the event.
Downley Platinum Jubilee Party
The area of High Wycombe will allow those who live nearby to go to Downley Common to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
The Wycombe Concert Band will be in an attendance, with there being a DJ and fireworks.
It will take place on June 3.
Queens Jubilee Family Fun Day
On Friday, June 3 and Saturday, June 4, there will be a Jubilee Family Fun Day to celebrate the Queen’s triumph.
There will be a bouncy castle, a tombola, activities and sweet vendors on site.
It will take place at the Cressex Community Centre across the two days.
